How Can We Make Teaching Work?

From Jacob Glicklich--

Thanks to everyone who came to the first installment of the AHGS Pedagogy Workshop, it seemed well attended and useful, both conceptually and hearing from different specific experiences. There was interest at the end of that discussion in continuing this space, and following up more specifically on successful strategies for getting students to talk and bringing multimedia and other tech into the classroom. So that's what we'll be doing this Friday, starting at 1:00 PM. We'll be basing out of a classroom to better explore what's possible inside the teaching speech. I hope that all interested individuals can make it out to this.
The following week will see AHGS start workshops on another topic very popular in the AHGS survey--CV Building. Look for upcoming emails and flyers in early April. If you have a strong interest in being able to attend this or any other workshop write to me with your available times to influence selection of subsequent times.
Regards,
Jacob
